Our mission

At Gifted People, we have been working with gifted adults since 2017. Our mission has two parts:

1. Sharing accurate information about giftedness

We aim to provide reliable and accessible information about giftedness, so that gifted individuals can recognize earlier that they may be gifted and gain a better understanding of what giftedness actually is.

At present, many misconceptions about giftedness still exist. As a result, gifted individuals often do not initially recognize themselves in the concept of giftedness. Others may recognize themselves in it but hesitate to identify as gifted.

By sharing more knowledge about giftedness, we want to make it easier for gifted individuals to find the recognition they need, because this is the foundation of self-understanding and self-awareness. We also want to contribute to a broader societal understanding of what giftedness truly is, so that it is neither dismissed as a luxury problem nor viewed as a guarantee of struggle or failure.

2. Helping gifted individuals understand themselves and create a life that fits

Gifted individuals are different, intense, and fast in the way they think, feel, and experience the world. This influences what they want and need across all areas of life, as well as the unique strengths and talents they naturally possess.

Through the Gifted People programs, we help gifted adults develop the self-understanding they need about who they are, what they want, what they are naturally good at, and what they need to thrive. We also provide practical tools to help them shape their lives, work, and relationships in ways that align with who they are, enabling them to use their unique gifts to make a meaningful contribution to the world around them.

We believe this is the foundation for experiencing the benefits, fulfillment, and joy that giftedness can bring.

Today, we support hundreds of gifted adults each year through our programs and reach tens of thousands of people through our free content.

My giftedness Journey

And How I Got Started

Around the age of twenty, my search for answers about who I am, what I need, and what I want led me to discover giftedness.

"Wow," I thought. "This explains so much."

For years, I had felt different, but I could never quite put my finger on why. At times, I felt unintelligent; at other times, I felt exceptionally capable.

Deep down, I even wondered whether something might be wrong with me.

Then giftedness entered the picture.

Giftedness was never something I had considered exploring, because of the many stereotypes and misconceptions surrounding giftedness that I simply could not relate to.

However, the moment someone explained to me what giftedness really is, it felt as though a weight had been lifted from my shoulders. What I had always sensed but could never explain suddenly made perfect sense.

There was relief. There was the beginning of self-acceptance.

It was as if I no longer had to fight to stay in a role that didn't fit me. I could simply start being myself.

This missing puzzle piece gave me renewed energy. Or perhaps more accurately, it gave me the push I needed.

For a long time, I had known that I wasn't doing what I was meant to do. I just didn't know what I was meant to do instead.

In the years that followed, I explored countless ways to discover my passion and purpose. I took personality assessments and motivation analyses. While I found them fascinating, they often left me with the same question:

"Okay... now what?"

I clearly needed something different to turn the many things I enjoyed into a meaningful direction for my future.

What followed was a journey of discovery. I invested in coaches, networks, books, and spent countless hours intentionally shaping my own life. I experimented with many different approaches and carefully documented what worked.

At the same time, I began specializing in giftedness. I read everything I could find about what giftedness truly is and how it influences a person's life, choices, and sense of fulfillment.

In 2014, I moved another step closer to my mission when I helped create a development program for gifted young people.

I felt called to this work. I knew there was something important for me to contribute.

Yet by the end of 2016, I also felt that something was still missing.

I had seen that it wasn't only these young people who were struggling with important life questions—their parents were often on the same journey.

Time and again, I met adults who still didn't know what they wanted to be when they "grew up." Adults who felt disconnected from themselves and unsure of who they truly were.

At that time, there was even less appropriate support available for gifted adults.

I saw an enormous amount of human potential going to waste, and it deeply affected me.

Everything in me told me this had to be my next step. So I shifted my focus from gifted young people to gifted adults.

As I continued learning, I gained a deeper understanding of what makes gifted individuals different and what it takes to build a life that truly fits who you are—a life that is both meaningful and enjoyable.

I also came to realize how important it is to have the right insights and tools to make that possible.

Today, through the Gifted People programs, I have had the privilege of helping thousands of people move forward in their own journey of self-discovery.

In doing so, I am truly living my mission.

At the same time, I have created a life that fits me and work that allows me—somewhat miraculously—to bring together all of my interests and talents.

For me, entrepreneurship became the path that made this possible. But believe me: there are many ways to create a life that fits you, including within traditional employment.

My wish for you is that you will gain a deeper understanding of what it means to be gifted (even if you still have doubts about whether you could be gifted) and that you will not accept a life where you have to adjust yourself to fit in instead of truly being yourself.
